Greenprint for a New Paradigm
Wendy Owens (W3ndy) is holding a huge vision for a “Greenprint for a New Paradigm South.” Born and raised in the Appalachian Foothills of Upstate SC and raised in the oldest mountain in the world she is a dowser and intuitive Starseed. Owens was raised in the deep in the roots of the South ran away to followed the rave scene in her teens in the 90’s as a first generation party kid and got deeper into the rabbit hole with sound. She had a deep awakening thru Electronic Music that brought her to her knees. It’s when 2 worlds collide. As a visionary mover, shaker and an activator that is constantly humbled by the voice of the Universe and has seen countless miracles of manifestation even when there did not look like there was one drop in the bucket. She is the Evolver Spore coordinator of the former network, has played music for NASA in planetariums, was schooled sound design from Bassnectar, played shows on the same bill as Richard Devine and has been a visionary of several DIY collectives, an Upstate sustainable commUNITY, Organic farmers market, facilitates the Tri State Red tent, and will eat dinner with anyone. She sees how “Sonic Alchemy” is rattling the confines of our human parameters that we were programed with and how resonance will shatter that program. She believes that WE truly are all one conscious cocreation of the Divine as brothers and siSTARS and that it’s time to R3sonat3 Chang3 from all 4 directions for the next 7 generations.
Wendy Michelle Owens AKA: W3ndy Was born and proudly raised in the Appalachian of the Upstate SC Cackalacky. She is a Starseed, 1/8 Cherokee with Southern Roots. Owens was raised in a Southern Baptist home by her loving grandparents with parents that were hippies that met at Woodstock. Her mother was a go-go dancer her father followed Baba Ram Dass. Her grandparents took her into custody when she was 2 years old. She moved in a home with a Southern Baptist upbringing but a very progressive uncle who made and listened to early electronic music. It had a great influence on her life. By the time Wendy was 16 she ran away to do the Rave scene leaving South Carolina she made a beeline to Chicago and got into the Chicago and Detroit music scene in the nineties. Merrily missing a bullet from a drive-by in Chicago she decided that she would go back to South Carolina for a minute.Shortly after ended up in New Mexico where she finished school with a visual arts degree. She felt very connected to New Mexico and The Roots of the indigenous wisdom. On that journey she encountered a spiritual connection that knew existed but was not taught in her upbringing. She returned back to the South.
Owens has been a Visionary and has facilitated many Grassroots and transformational projects. She was the Carolina Spore organizer with the former Evolver Network a sister of Reality Sandwich. She is a dowsers with her feet and affiliated with the Appalachian chapter of Dowsers. Until a decade ago Owens never understood all of her intuitive abilities When she was a child she was diagnosed with synesthesia where she sees sound and hears color. These gifted disabilities have worked in her favor. Owens has always been a huge part of the electronic music scene from the gate in the South and was tweeking knobs on shag green carpet when she was 3. She is a former radio DJ, turntable DJ ,sound designer, idm musician,, electronic music writer and renowned matriarch of electronic music in the South. She was a former owner of electronic music spaces from 93- 2014 & DIY all age non profit venues such as R3v3rb and R3mix3d in the Carolinas (both businesses were manifested.) She has booked thousands of shows and has performed with globally renowned electronic musicians and sound designers. Played music for NASA in a planetarium. She was strict analog synthesis until 2005 then learned software design from Laurin of Bassnectar at a Music Lab school she help represent. Some of her performances have spanned from shows with acts like Richard Devine. She has seen the electronic Awakening from the gate and has a deep awareness of what Tesla says “if you understand frequency and vibration you can unlock the codes to the universe.” Her whole career of 2 decades has been around electronic music. In 2014 she endured a business fire in Asheville and lost all of her equipment. Several huge instant life changes happened after that. She was diagnosed with PTSD and is overcoming without prescriptions. This led her on a path for deeper healing and unplugging to recharge. That 3 year period shifted her understanding about the earth and changes that we will soon face. She is holding a HUGE Greenprint vision for a “New Paradigm South. In the past decade she has envisioned several visionary pursuits and seen the manifestation. She is a grid networker & cross pollinator and has a reputation for eco fashion, grassroots level change and commUnity stewardship thru seed visions for many projects. Her dowsing abilities with her feet lead her to bring in a vision for an intentional sustainable community that is thriving in upstate South Carolina. One of her messages is the Earth is conscious and we need to listen.
In 2005 her deep Awakening occurred in Greenville South Carolina after a stressful day at work. She felt led to go up to Paris Mountain State Park. That day changed her life! On her way up that mountain she decided to put one of her favorite IDM artist in her CD player, Boards of Canada.Little did she know that she was encompassing herself and enter mixture of binaural beats and hemi sych sonic saturations and brainwave entrainment while going up a winding mountain with her bass speakers blasting. When she got up on the mountain Barefoot to put her feet on the earth her butt on the ground in her head on the earth next to an analog TV tower she was given a huge download and 2005 that changed her life. She made a beeline to Asheville the next day. Her Awakening through electronic music led her through a deeper resonance and a long winding journey through many blessings and lessons, understanding “ Sonic Alchemy” , working with Indigenous Grandmother Elders,seeking wisdom from Chiefs and wise elders, facilitating Red tents and bringing women together for healing in South Carolina where there is more domestic violence and murder in the nation per capita. She also carries a 4 directional medicine drum and brings the older and younger generation together to listen to each other's expansive knowledge as timeless ageless beings. Her love has been living in the Blue Ridge of Asheville in Upstate South Carolina for the past 12 years and has recently moved to Boone after the “ High Alta” called her in. She is now as a resident of The Art of Living Community after moving out of Asheville and Upstate. She sees how the spiritual is even connected in the mix down with the electronic music scene and that resonance and frequency is being wired and amplified into a deep awakening transmitting waveforms starseeds are hearing. There is a huge Awakening happening with sound that is vibrating people into soul connection & divine perfection awareness. She is also an earth medicine worker a mother. She believes In Miracles of manifestation time again even when it looks like there not a drop of water in the bucket. She lives life embracing simplicity but still solid strong dances heartcore as much as she can! She has vowed to live her service for God to “Cocreate conscious CommUnity.” and R3sonat3 chang3 where she can. Secretly:She is also is still holding a vision to rebuild her own Studio and tweek knobs and decimate frequencies again someday soon…. ;)
